I have lots of fun at Larry and Hazel's house. The most fun is being outside in the yard, well after eating. Only being in the water can be as much fun as eating. I can sniff things and see who is walking up the street. When someone is around, I get them to throw balls for me. Then after a while, I'll play "fence". I can play "fence" for hours on end. The way you play fence is you push a ball under the fence and out of the yard. Then you reach under it with your arms or nose and try to get the ball back inside the fence. Sometimes it involves quite a lot of digging to get the ball back. Sometimes it goes too far and I have to get Larry or Hazel to go outside the fence to bring the ball back. Occasionally, the ball will go far enough that it rolls down the hill to the main street. Sometimes Larry will toss balls or other things inside the house. Usually he'll be sitting on the couch and will toss things, and I'll go get them and bring them back. He often hits a door and the ball crashes with a rather lovely sound. I also play a version of "fence" in the living room, where I will "lose" things under the couch, and then try to get them back. One of the best games is "puppy" or "dumby". It's a combination of toss and fetch and tug of war. We play with some neat toys Kim got me at Target, a little rubber puppy and a little rubber dumb bell. We also sometimes play "popcycle" with a little rubber popcycle, but that's less fun than "puppy" and "dumby". "Puppy" is far the best, although not so good as any of the water games.
Larry also plays at Sumo with me. He uses powerful tsupari (slaps or thrusts to my chest) to push me around the living room. He says he's winning by oshidashi (push out). I don't understand Japanese terms. We have fun anyway.
